Prosthodontics & Implant Reconstruction

February 21, 2020 @ 8:30 am - 4:00 pm

Title:  Contemporary Treatment of the Edentulous Arch:  A synergistic relationship between the art and science

Exciting new treatment options are now available for the edentulous and future edentulous patient.  Today’s fixed and removable prostheses are based on biomechanical, biological, and basic restorative principles.

To maximize our chances for esthetic and functional success, proactive virtual treatment planning must be utilized for each patient.  Virtual implant placement software solutions form the link between prosthetic driven planning and predictable implant surgery.  Guides can be produced to determine bone reduction as well as optimized implant placement.

A systematic approach for each patient is critical for ideal treatment planning based on each person’s unique clinical situation.  We need to understand the segments of diagnostics, surgical, provisionalization, and ultimately, the final prosthesis.

How can we determine the best restorative option?  Choices to be made are based on the number of implants, the position of the implants, and the loading or timing protocols.

This presentation will explore the state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment planning protocols available to every clinician to ensure a uniquely successful result for each individual patient.
