Dr. Peter Chauvin obtained his dental degree from McGill University in 1988. Following a Multidisciplinary Residency Program at the Royal Victoria Hospital, he completed his Graduate Training at the University of Western Ontario in Oral Pathology. He is a Fellow of The American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists in Oral Medicine and Oral Pathology.
He is currently an Associate Professor and the Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Dental Education in the Faculty of Dental Medicine and Oral Health Sciences of McGill University. He maintains a clinical practice with a focus on mucosal disorders. He has received numerous teaching awards, including the W.W. Wood award and Howard Katz Award for excellence in teaching.
